Portal Innovations Incubator at Ocean State Labs

The Portal Innovations Incubator at Ocean State Labs is a partnership between Portal, the Rhode Island Life Science Hub, Brown University, and the I-195 Redevelopment District Commission, located in Providence, Rhode Island. The approximately 30,000-square foot space will feature a mix of private and open lab spaces along with co-working areas that will be equipped with cutting-edge technology to support up to 30 startup companies in Rhode Island.

The incubator space at Ocean State Labs is set to open in late 2025 and will be located at 150 Richmond Street, Providence, Rhode Island. Below are mock-ups and renderings of the space!

The Portal Innovations Incubator at Ocean State Labs space serves as a destination for startups emerging from Rhode Island and surrounding states. As these companies scale they will also serve as a resource for local talent retention.
The Portal offices and world-class lab space is 30,000 SF and will open in late 2025. The space will have state-of-the-art lab space and shared equipment, benches, desks, offices, large co-working spaces, and multiple conference rooms. The Portal lab will have over $2 million of modern equipment and includes both wet and dry labs, tissue culture hoods, BSL2 labs, chemical fume hoods, among others.
